Well, Tyler & Scott got off this a.m. So, it's just us Artley's here now. We sure hope that Tyler is truly coming back. It made us nervous that he took everything he owned, including his saddle!! He's the only wrangler we've got that has been here & knows the area, so he's a very valuable asset.
We are starting to feel more at home. Jeff said this morning that his face hurts from smiling so much. I guess that means he's happy? Bendigo is working on school stuff today. He's always enjoyed being able to school wherever he felt like it (at his desk, in his room, in the recliner, etc.) so he's REALLY liking being able to sit in the lodge at different locations, or whatever.
This morning the elk had come down the hill and some crossed the river & are with the horses - they just stood & waited for the hay w/ the stock! So, we'll have to deal w/ that soon. And, there were otters at the bridge - Jeff & Ben went down & watched them awhile. Jeff said they didn't mind the humans or the dogs at all - they'd float right under them & stare back up.
It was very warm today & Jeff got lots of yard work done. And, we moved a few things out of the foreman's cabin. It was big excitement today that we got not one, but TWO planes in today. One took the boys out and the other one delivered propane & groceries. The biggest excitement of the day, however, was that I got a PHONE hooked up!! Yup, that's right! We've got a phone in the wilderness! Of course, I can't tell you the phone # right now, but I hooked it via the internet using Vonage. Unfortunately, I had to put it in the storeroom for now, so it's not terribly convenient!!
