Well, today was a rainy, windy day - following the rainy windy night. The river is coming up quickly and getting quite muddy. Jeff stayed busy even w/ the weather, cleaning up the piled garbage & junk behind the hay shed. For some bizarre reason, someone had been piling bits & pieces to be burned there... next to the hay shed. Even though there is a perfectly good burn pile clear down past the runway at the other end of the ranch. Go figure. So, anyway, he hauled it all down there & burned while the rain is around to help keep things under control.
Josie especially likes to go down to the dump. The boneyard is adjacent, and is quite extensive. She just sits on the hill & survey's her own personal candy store. She appears to be considering "Hmmm... which one do I want to chew on today? Oh.. this one here has a little gristle left... oh wait - that one still smells nasty!!"
The dogs do smell better, maybe the rain is helping wash it off. So, perhaps they'll be allowed in the bedroom tonight - we'll see. We're heading to bed early since we got very little sleep last night. Jeff just wants to build a fire & settle in. So, I guess we'll head off to the cabin & call it a day!
