This is a Resort Guest Ranch (as opposed to a "working" guest ranch which would have cows, etc.). They raise their own Appaloose horses but otherwise there isn't any other stock here. We're located just 17 miles from West Yellowstone and actually border the Park in places. We'll live here all year in a great log cabin/house. We really like it.
There are LOTS of winter activities here and the owner encourages us to enjoy them. He is an avid x-country skier and also loves to ice skate. There is also snowmobiling and sledding of course. Ben is in charge of the ice skating rink which of course must be kept shoveled and occasionally needs to be re-flooded to smooth it out. He's taken his responsibility very seriously and also is picking up the ice-skating pretty quickly.
So, here are a few pics of us moving in (too much snow to drive to the house so used the crawler to pull the u-haul up.) And, packing the bed up the hillit was on top of the vehicle, not in the uhaul) seemed out of the question, so it got put on the snowgo trailer! So did the rest of the stuff out of the vehicle. I'll put more up tomorrow.
